The 34th edition of ESTAMPA Madrid 2022 gets started

#FAIRS

We are delighted to announce that we will once again be taking part in the ESTAMPA Contemporary Art Fair, which opens tomorrow, Thursday 24 September, and will run in Hall 5 at IFEMA until Sunday 27.

Our programme for this edition of ESTAMPA 2026 comprises a selection of works by Marta Barrenechea (Madrid, 1964) and Rosalía Banet (Madrid, 1972), who, although their artistic languages are very different, share an interest in reinterpreting elements inherited from cultural and visual tradition. Whilst Barrenechea incorporates fabrics and embroidery made by her ancestors, Banet revisits religious iconography deeply rooted in Western culture. Their works transform materials, symbols and images from the past into new visual constructions open to contemporary interpretations.

Furthermore, a selection of drawings by Filippos Tsitsopoulos (Athens, 1968) will be displayed on the stand’s exterior wall. These works, which form part of his project *The Auction of Morality*, will engage in a dialogue with the performance of the same name that the artist will stage during the fair in tribute to the guest artist and friend, Esther Ferrer.

We look forward to seeing you at stand 5B04. Don’t miss it!
