Alicia Martín and Rosalía Banet headline the final exhibitions of the season

#ONVIEW

The gallery’s program closes the season with a solo show by Alicia Martín, accompanied by Rosalía Banet’s project in #LACRIPTAPROJECTS.

On one hand, Alicia Martín presents Against Tranquil Grandeur, an exhibition that begins with a critical suspicion toward the narratives and foundations that have shaped the canon of Art History. The title enters into tension with Winckelmann’s famous formula, “noble simplicity and tranquil greatness,” proposing a friction with that canon which classifies, hierarchizes, and dictates what is visible.

Meanwhile, in La Cripta, Rosalía Banet immerses us in her series Renaissances, where bodies transform into fertile earth—part of the life cycle that connects human beings with the planet. Her hybrid, blooming, and organic figures invite us to reflect on a more respectful and symbiotic relationship with nature: we are not the owners of the Earth, but part of it.
