Come and visit us at ARTESANTANDER 2026 to enjoy the works of Angela Burson and Simon Quadrat
Today marks the start of a new edition of the ARTESANTANDER fair, and we are delighted to announce that our gallery is taking part once again this year.
Our programme for 2026 presents a dialogue between the artists Angela Burson and Simon Quadrat, both of whom have participated in previous editions of the fair. The exhibition brings together a selection of recent works which, from different perspectives, explore the possibilities of contemporary figuration.
In Quadrat’s work, scenes and characters emerge from memory and imagination, creating compositions with an ambiguous and silent atmosphere where time seems suspended. For her part, Burson works with figures, objects and interior spaces that suggest complex psychological and social relationships. In her compositions, everyday elements take centre stage, shifting the identity of the portrait towards a more symbolic and open interpretation.
The dialogue between the two artists offers a journey through images in which the everyday takes on a strange and evocative dimension, inviting the viewer to reconstruct the stories implicit in each scene.
