Join us for the opening of our two new exhibitions!

#OPENING

Tomorrow, Thursday May 7, we celebrate the opening of two new exhibitions at the gallery: “Love is to be foolish together” by Marta Barrenechea and, as part of our La Cripta programme, the first solo exhibition by Carlos Sagrera.

Following her last exhibition with us in 2021, Marta Barrenechea (Madrid, 1964) returns to the gallery with “Love is to be foolish together”, a project that departs from the intimate and the everyday to reflect on memory, relationships, and processes of transformation. Through materials imbued with personal history, such as antique embroidered textiles, the artist develops a visual language in which the emotional and the formal intertwine.

Meanwhile, within #LACRIPTAPROJECTS, we present Carlos Sagrera’s first solo exhibition at the gallery. Under the title “Anthropocene”, the artist brings together five paintings depicting interior spaces of an apartment in Madrid, conceived as sites of experience and memory.
