"My current works are more abstract. Each one is a stepping-stone, which in turn has influenced my next piece. What I create now is the synthesis of what I achieved before it. I remove people, spaces and contexts. I am left with a bare backbone and it is this with which I work. The shapes are more naked since I have stripped the more realistic aspects away from my works. Now I discover even more possibilities than before, even though it requires a lot more effort. But don’t write that down!” Ofelia García. January 2011
