15 AÑOS, 15 YEARS

-

November 10th, 2004. Mid-morning. Hernández Pijuan perches on a ladder and traces a mustard-colored mesh on the gallery entrance wall with his paintbrushes. That same afternoon took place the opening of our first show.

15 years have passed since then. We had never organized a group exhibition in all this time. The pandemic that we have had to live has made us reflect and look back with a certain nostalgia. For us, a gallery is a personal project where origins, backgrounds and tastes influence the selection of the fellow travelers. As people evolve, the gallery, its creators and their works are also transforming.

All this has motivated us to present during APERTURA Madrid Gallery Weekend 2020 this group show where our most veteran artists participate, such as Joan Hernández Pijuan, and others like Simon Callery, one of the most recent additions to our represented artists. It is impossible that all those who have exhibited with us during these wonderful 15 years are represented here today. Therefore, our challenge has been to articulate a set of artworks with a coherence that allows them to coexist with each other, despite their differences.
